It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

I get some good looks around here in VA, my car club did
a St. Patricks day parade in Norfolk and the Ti got lots of
attention, also showed it in a car show in VA Beach and got
lots of Ooh's and Aahh's.
It feels good. And yes, I can peel out in my Ti. Now, if you are already
rolling and floor it, i dont see many folks burning rubber.
But from a stand still, ive lost plenty of rubber.

Wow, your town is amazingly pathetic. The only time my car ever gets looked at is when they are checking out the smashed hood.

Default I get looks alright

I get looks alirght, but not because my car looks pretty......I get looks cause my engine sounds so loud and alot meaner then it really is. I get people alot of time giving me dirty looks or telling me to slow down because my car sounds like its going alot faster then it is....and i am rolling wit the stock exhaust(not for long)

Yeah... but you're cheating... you've got "sticker power" !!!!

This "wheel spinning" issue is the only thing I don't like about the car so far... my Honda would spin new-ish tires fairly easily. I've yet to get a good bark from the ti.

To get back on topic...

Yesterday as I was leaving church, a couple of teen-age boys said "nice car" as I got in. As I left the parking lot, one of the guys came up beside me and acted like he wanted to race. So, I ignored him for a second, then floored it and left him in the dust. Oh yeah... he was on foot. LOL

My point exactly.

When was the last time you saw anyone start cheering, clapping and yelling over ANY car? Was it a school for "slow" children? Maybe they'd never seen a car before?

I'm on hour 15 of a 20 hour project....sorry, starting to get cocky!

I think people are looking at the car because it's missing the trunk.
The ugly duckling of the BMW world.

Only time my car got attention was when it was slammed down.
And then it was only from riced out old Honduhs.
That was reason enough to go to stock springs.

Our MINI still gets thumbs up from kids and people come over to talk about it.
Pretty amazing since the car has been around for 3-4 years now.

Kinda, sorta. It's just a small town of about 9,000 people. There is a lot of growth here in Coolidge. It won't be as pathetic in the next 3-5 years.

Dusten, Dusten, Dusten...

I can always count on Wisconsin's finest. I don't think I've ever met a person from WI that is anything but bitter, angry, or negative. You are no exception. Are people like that in WI because of the weather? Or has all that cheese & wine gone and affected your brain so much that you can only act and respond this way? Haven't figured it out yet. If anyone else knows why, please key me in.

I do think it's kinda funny though that these high school kids acted like they've never seen a BMW or ti for that matter. What can I say? Just thought that I'd share some good news. Not many people have a ti in AZ as it is. That's why people go gah gah over this car. I'm happy to own one and don't mind the extra attention, even if it is from some deprived high school kids.

Long live the ti!

He's the exception.
I went to the EAA Fly-in for 5 years in Oshkosh. Always had a great time and the people in the area are wonderful. We would stay with a family there. Their friends would come over.

It was about 95 degrees outside (chilly for this time of year), so I had my windows rolled down with my sunroof open. I was about 3 miles away from my house when I had to take a detour down a residential street to miss some major traffic. The street I went down passed the High School of the town that I live in. It was just after school got out, so there were a lot of "teeny boppers" just lounging outside the school. For some odd reason, they still had the "Caution 15 MPH" speed limit signs out, down the whole street. This was a pain, I was moving slower. But, here is the cool part. I probably own 1 of maybe 3 BMW's in Coolidge. The only ti of course. Everyone was giving me the "ooooo's" & "aaahhhh's" over my car. And someone started to clap. That clap turned into more claps. When to my surprise, there were cheers and chants of, "Nice car!" and "Check out that ride." I was amazed. Never has my ti been given such attention.

I did what any person in my shoes would do. I stuck my hand out the window and waved, said thank you, and then..............peeled out to show my speed! The crowd went crazy!

Just thought that I'd share this awesome experience that happened to my ti. I hope this has happened or will happen to everyone else. It's an awesome feeling.
C'mon...claps and cheering? LOL
Did anyone yell out "OOOH dat car is SEXY?"

BS+2...and the crowd goes wild.....or gah, gah

He might be a nice guy in person. Don't know, I haven't met him yet. But I'm just not getting that "nice guy" vibe in here...
