Default Drive train removal/install top or bottom?

Starting my M50 swap into my ti this weekend, what the best way to remove and install the engine/tranny? right now I am thinking of dropping it out the bottom. One shop told me to take the tranny out then pull the engine from the top, I know to remove the starter on the M42 is a PITA..

2¢ Having only swapped like motors, I'd drop the front subframe and roll it out as one unit. It'll be easier in the install portion I'd think as the six is a bit tighter fit.

I always pull them from the bottom. lay the harness on top of the engine and pull the engine, trans, subframe, rack and control arms as a unit. at work I use a tranny jack, at home I use a furniture dolly and jack the car up (a lot) and roll the assembly out.

I just pulled the front of the car off. Then it just slides out the front.
