My father just bought it earlier today and we're going to go out driving in it later. It's a 97 with 17" Breyton rims with Michelin Pilot tires and it's an automatic transmission (the only flaw ). Pics and info to come! (I'm typing this from home where I have dial-up internet and I can't upload the pics ) | | | 11-27-2007, 09:32 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 1,895 | Cool! He probably has the "sport" mode on his automatic: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8541 __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 11-28-2007, 03:46 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Here's the pics. It's a 97 with 114k, and a small dent on the passenger side quarter panel, the tires are too narrow for the rims and the rear ones are almost completely bald. It does have the "sport" mode as well as the "manual" mode, and it came with the "new audio program" cassette with the original case. btw, does anyone know what kind of rims those are? | | | 11-28-2007, 04:11 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | what did he pay?? __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 11-28-2007, 04:14 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | | | | 11-28-2007, 04:28 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | good find!! thats a great deal! clean title? __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 11-28-2007, 04:29 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | yeah, as far as we know | | | 11-28-2007, 04:31 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | well the title would say salvaged. so i guess it has a clean title but you are saying not sure if there are any wrecks? __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 11-28-2007, 04:36 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | if there were any wrecks the dealer did a good job lying about them(which they wouldn't because my dad is friends with him, also how he got the low price ) | | | 11-28-2007, 05:31 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Laguna Beach Posts: 357 | Congrats on the new M3 in the family I can't believe that car came from the dealer, engine compartment is not detailed and there are pine needles in the cabin air intake vents. Dirty too. Rest of the car looks good, silver is my fav color for the E36 M3 Those wheels look like Breyton Vision's, (or knockoffs). Tire Rack has more info on those wheels. I like the 7 spoke design. $5k is a bargain IMO. | | | 11-28-2007, 05:32 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | yeah a dealer should have detail the CRAP out of that car like they do with any car. did his friend tell your dad about it before they had a chance to clean it? __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 11-29-2007, 02:10 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Yeah I think he bought before they detailed it | | | 12-10-2007, 10:59 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | UPDATE: My dad has decided to run the M3 in the winter and has mounted a set of 16" AT Italia contour replicas with Michelin Pilot Alpin winters mounted on them, will post pics when I get around to it | | | 12-10-2007, 11:01 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | fun he should be fine in Georgia. and get on those pictures! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 12-11-2007, 05:57 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget fun he should be fine in Georgia. and get on those pictures! | he's in Vermont!
