I was running stock NGK, but switched to Bosch Iridiums and noticed improved idle, and off idle acceleration.

Bosch copper core oem plug...experienced BMW mechanics will tell you not to waste your money on fancy, expensive plugs in these cars. They run the best on basic plugs.

Bosch FGR7DQP? Not cheap, expensive than ngk.
Autolite good enough?
I found some m44 engines use ngk oem plugs, they have BMW label on them, but no part number.

I ran out of options at the local stores for the correct NGK so wound up with Bosch platinum 4 prong deals from Napa. They were the only store of 4 that had anything they could pull off the shelf.

Anyway, the 4 prong platinums seem to be working well after 1k miles. The car had some misfire codes and those have disappeared since, related to the old worn NGK's I assume.

No I haven't. My information comes from Mike Miller, an indie BMW mechanic in Pennsylvania who writes a monthly tech Q and A column for Bimmer Magazine.

How much would a set of new Bosch spark plugs cost roughly?? i wouldn't mind going over my Ti and replacing a few things here and there to make sure it's running smooth

Copper conducts electricity very well for cheep. There is no HP gain by installing expensive plugs. If you index your plugs on some engines you can gain some HP but not the M4x

NGK BKR6EQUP's on any M42 or M44 that's normally aspirated. These are factory high power plugs and they work much better than any BOSCH plug I have tried on the M42 or M44.

I know this thread is a year old, but let me add a bump for NGK BKR6EQUP. Just replaced Bosch Iridiums with the NGK and actually noticed a significant improvement in smoothness and power. Got mine at Advanced Auto for $7 a piece.

Tried the Iridiums in a Jeep, 318ti 330xi.. They only lasted about 12K in the jeep. Same with the 318.. Pissed off the 330 took them out within a week.
