Question Would These Fit? ASAP

AC Schnitzer Type 3's, 8.5X18, with 43mm offset. My car is lowered with sport spings by 30mm. I'm guessing my fenders may need to be rolled but could there be any other problems?

Thanks.

Should fit, you might need to run a 3 or 5mm spacer.

i think they will clear. my wheels with 40 series tires and 40mm offset seem like they would clear just fine and would tuck in the fender petty well

Ok thanks. If I were to not install my sport springs, would the chances be better that they fit?

well yes because your car would not be as low.

but i think you could clear them with the springs and the tires would tuck.

at worst you would have to purchase some spacers

So what is the main purpose of buying spacers? I know that it is a plate that is in between the rim and the attachment point but if I get a large wheel why would I want to put a spacer in? Wouldn't that just make the rim stick out farther and make it more likely to contact my fender?

a spacer would make sure you dont rub when turning because fo the wide wheel. but i do think you can get by without the spacer.

and yes the spacer would bring out the wheel closer to the fender.

so hopefully it will not be needed.

Anyone know if 245/40r/17's would fit for the rear tires? I get rubbing issues with 235/45r/17's

Should fit no problem. 30mm isn't that much. I had basically the same offset and tire size an the fit fine without spacers before I got my coil-overs. The only reason I had to get spacers is that due to the different design of the coil-overs the inside of the wheel would have been hitting the coil-spring/spring perch.

With a 235 width tire mounted on a 8.5" wheel they will difinitely rub. I recommend you stick with a 225/40/18 tire. Spacers would make rubbing issues worse for both front and rear unless you have camber adjustable plates; enabling you to dial in more negative camber. With a 225 tire and a 43mm ET you might just have to roll the rear arches with the lowering springs. I wouldn't consider buying the wheels if they would be installed without the car being lowered. They will actually make it look jacked up.

Cheers,
