They plug right in & don’t need a ballast & are priced at around $35.00 a pair. | | | 02-12-2012, 02:05 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Philly Posts: 605 | I've got HID heads and fogs but I'd say anything is better than oem bulbs! | | | 02-12-2012, 02:31 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: West Palm Beach,Florida Posts: 261 | i had them on my suv before theyre almost as bright as HIDs but u can order the set of HIDs w ballast on ebay for 40 __________________ I<3MY TI | | | 02-12-2012, 02:34 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Philly Posts: 605 | Be careful with buying cheap eBay HID kits for ~$40. It's usually cheap material and will easily break (personal experience). Quality kits should cost around ~$100+ I bought a Xenon HID kit in june for around $120 and they are awesome and bright as hell. Months later bought a pair off dtmtuning and after the two week wait and the chinese written label on the box and no packaging protection what so ever I realized they weren't what they claimed to be... more than likely cheap eBay ones. and they were not as bright, different weird color tint, and one even burnt out within few minutes of use. They run about $90 for a pair. They produce at least 50% more light than standard bulbs. One of the best upgrades I have ever done. Very easy to install yourself. | | | 02-12-2012, 04:00 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: West Palm Beach,Florida Posts: 261 | They'd be really good to if you restore the headlights __________________ I<3MY TI | | | 02-12-2012, 05:16 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Lighthouse Point, FL Posts: 124 | I agree... On the Sylvania bulbs... I use them on both of the ti's and, even tho' I have xexon in the Jags, I have to admit they're pretty good for the money. There's a lot of cheap junk on eBay so be careful. | | | 02-12-2012, 05:19 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Roanoke, VA Posts: 472 | Ive always used the sylvania silverstar ultras in all my cars and have been happy. Used them for highs, lows, and fogs. Check ebay for some good deals on them. If you go HID, dont go cheap. | | | 02-13-2012, 01:53 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: San Diego Posts: 231 | I've been running 80w 9006's for years. They are twice as bright as stock. $10/pair on ebay. | | | 02-14-2012, 02:15 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I've got Silverstars too, definitely an improvement over stock and you don't have to worry about messing with ballasts or getting new housings | | | 02-14-2012, 02:26 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Philly Posts: 605 | i think i may want to get Silverstar. after having the HID head and fogs its just too much you know. i mean having everything lit up is awesome and bright as hell, but sometimes i just feel like its way too much and just want some nice mid range average but bright lights.
