The Reset Tool red light just keeps flashing and does not seem to cycle the problem. Can someone help me? Maybe someone else may know something. __________________ BMWCCA #403399 2012 Mini Cooper S Clubman, 6-Speed Loaded 2001 325xi, Winter Package, 5-Speed Traded 1998 318ti, Active, Automatic, TOTAL LOSS R.I.P. 10/20/08 Bilstein Sport Shocks/Struts . The Airbag Light is on and I have the R-5 tool by Peak. Maybe I'll need the SRS Version of the R-5? There are common problems with the passenger seat. The occupant sensor, or the seat belt receptacle sensor. You can double-check underneath the seat to make sure that both wires are plugged in. | | | 05-09-2008, 03:49 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Stamford, CT <-> Boston, MA Posts: 1,393 | Ahh, I think what mohaughn is saying (to clarify for myself and others), one of your sensors failed, which is throwing the SRS light. The tool may infact be resetting the light, but with one of those sensors failing, the SRS light keeps coming back on. Do you have a check engine light as well, if you do, that may tell you which sensor is to blame. Otherwise it's a guessing game (as far as i know). Also you might have a different PEAKE tool that doesn't reset SRS (you might be right) http://www.peakeresearch.com/products.htm Which one of those is a close match? __________________ BMWCCA #403399 2012 Mini Cooper S Clubman, 6-Speed Loaded 2001 325xi, Winter Package, 5-Speed Traded 1998 318ti, Active, Automatic, TOTAL LOSS R.I.P. 10/20/08 Bilstein Sport Shocks/Struts . Your standard OBDII CEL code reader may not be able to read SRS codes. I know peake makes a specific SRS code reader. I think it is the R5/SRS code reader/reset tool.
