Mine was blowing 150+ppm HC, failed bad, I installed new cat, now 0 ppm. Aftermarket cats do work for a year or two, but in CA the guy is supposed to crawl under the car and make sure the cat was designed for the car (as in OEM) so you might have to borrow someone's to pass the visual. | | | 07-16-2012, 07:11 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Broomfield,Colorado Posts: 664 | I got a 96 alaskan blue ti now got it while i was parting out the 98 and used most of the new parts i got for the 98 on the 96 | | | 07-16-2012, 07:17 AM | #14 | Member Join Date: Jul 2012 Location: Irvine, California Posts: 73 | Nice you guys! Im think to have a shop just weld on a generic one the place I go to smog only checks for cai headers and exhaust systems (like deleted cats or race pipe) I have a welded on muffler it came with the car and sounds pretty good and my smog tech said he liked it lol. | | | 07-19-2012, 01:36 PM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2012 Location: Los Angeles Posts: 17 | Quote: Originally Posted by brandonm Hey guys, im Brandon.
