Trans does not grind going into any gears. I will include the clutch, but there's not much left on it, considering it's the original factory one. $900 plus shipping for the motor. $500 plus shipping for the trans. $1200 plus shipping for the pair. Also open to offers... Let me know if you guys have any questions, or want close up pictures of anything. Oh, this stuff needs to be gone by April 1st, and we just got a new shop, and I'm trying to move as little as possible. | | | 03-23-2006, 04:04 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Tennessee Posts: 523 | What all would I need to complete a 5-speed swap besides the tranny that you have? __________________ | | | 03-23-2006, 06:39 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Troy, MI Posts: 20 | could you put up some pics of the trans it doesn't have the famous popping out of 1st gear problem right? thanks steve | | | 03-23-2006, 01:14 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1rstbmw! Where in TN are you? Close to NC by any chance? | | | 03-23-2006, 08:00 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Exton, PA Posts: 75 | No, doesn't have the popping out of first problem. In fact, I didn't even know that was a common thing till you just asked :-P I'll get pics of everything tonight when I leave the shop.. As for doing a 5-Speed swap, you'll need the clutch master, pedals, driveshaft, trans, and a clutch. I can provide all of that except the clutch that I will include will need to be replaced very soon. | | | 03-24-2006, 12:25 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Tennessee Posts: 523 | Quote: Originally Posted by andyman7931 you'd need the pedals, pluming that goes with the clutch, driveshaft, transmission crossmember, also your differential ratio would be way off and you'd be redlining in 5th on the highway.
