Default 18 x 8.5 wheels for 318i...too wide???

I was wondering if anyone here runs on 18 x 8.5 rims. I wanted to know if you had any problems with them? What tires did you use, what size?
Is this wheel too big or wide for my car??

I am about to order this set of rims for my 95 BMW 318i
http://www.ocwheelwurx.com/wheels/wheels1.html

thx

I can't answer your question but those rims are nice i like them alot. It says on there site they fit all e36's so i don't think you would have a problem.

Default Offset? Inset?

It really depends on the offset and inset of the wheels and size of the tires. You can make almost anything fit with some injunity and fender rolling.

what offset/inset, how much do you have it lowered and did you have to mod fenders, put in stops for the steering rack or anything?

My BMW is a 1995 318i not a TI. Everything on it is stock.

Hey maurolin are those OCW wheels? Did you have to modify anything before you put them on your car.

the size of the tires I am planing to use are 225/40/18 for the front, and 235/40/18 for the rear.

Unhappy ...

The 18's I tried wouldnt fit bc of the shocks in the front. Atleast thats what I think it was. And in the rear the would have torn my finders all up once I were to hit a pothole. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I had.

18x8.5 wheels will fit, but since the offset is 35mm you will definitely need to modify the rear arches. No big deal.

Cheers,

What do you need to do to modify rear arches? And for all those that are saying they have 18x8.5 do you have the sport package or your fenders rolled?
