These were taken at Daytona International Speedway at the end of October. Running the 24 hour configuration with PBOC. The first three are a three wheeling motion shot. All pictures taken by Henry Kowalski of ColourTech South. The best motorsport photographer in the Southeast. | | | 12-20-2009, 06:57 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Monterey, CA Posts: 770 | Those are great pics. I can't wait until next year when my wife and I can get back to the track. When is the next track day? | | | 12-20-2009, 07:04 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Damn, That is stiff suspension. I'm thinking about Barber over the Memorial Day weekend. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-20-2009, 10:03 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn So I know the guys up the Northeast are not getting out the track anytime soon, so here are some track pics to get you through the snowy season. | sure, rub it in cool pics though | | | 12-21-2009, 12:08 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | I'll get some more up later tonight, busy with holiday stuff today. Quote: When is the next track day? | January 2nd and 3rd at Sebring with CHIN Motorsports. Great group to run with, I'll get about 2.5 hours each day. Then January 14-17th with PBOC is winterfest. January is one of my busiest months usually because the weather is great for the track. 60degrees with usually crystal clear blue skies. SUNOCO! FINISH! Look at me, in front of the GT3 RS... To bad he is probably lapping me for the second or third time, and in another 100yards or so, he was going past me. I was probably doing 125mph right there. Based on other cars I was in that weekend, that Porsche was probably in excess of 160. Notice I'm lower on the banking, slow cars stay low. | | | 12-21-2009, 06:31 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia Posts: 593 | Nice pics. Looks like you had a great day at the track. I wish I could get mine where I could take it out on the track but that will be later. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 12-21-2009, 04:26 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | I'd love to submit this type of photos for a calendar spot, but I don't have the rights to the pictures. I have to much respect for the photographer that took it, to not get his permission first, and just never looked into it. Steve- If he would allow me to use one of these pics if it has one of his logos and a photo credit on it, would you allow that? Maybe we should do an all track picture calendar next year. | | | 12-21-2009, 10:07 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Germany Posts: 68 | these are some really nice pics. what have you done with your suspension? My front wheels dont lift like that what I've done-->Bilstein B14PSS, H&R anti roll kit, Z3 M Roadster XBrace, front tower strut, E36 M3 wishbone bushings, E46 M3 convertible rear strut guide supports, Z3 strut guide support reinforcements.....has to be street legal so there arent much options left oh and I have a contribution to this thead ;-) A guess anyone? :-D | | | 12-22-2009, 03:26 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn Steve- If he would allow me to use one of these pics if it has one of his logos and a photo credit on it, would you allow that? TcKline camber plates, spherical rear mounts, all race bushings, etc... It isn't as stiff as a lot of full on race cars, but it handles extremely well. The R888's generate so much grip at turn in, that I can lift the wheel more if I really manhandle the car at turn in. I had to slow down my turn in and get much smoother to drive the car well with these tires. | | | 01-18-2010, 02:37 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Globally Posts: 1,162 | Where is my giant frown?
