Saints Row 2 won't save

ok, I realize this is not the right forum for this at all but I'm not registered on any video game forums and I'm too lazy

I've been playing Saints Row 2 for a while and just 2 days ago I've noticed I'm no longer able to save the game, I will hit save, and it will seem like it's done it, but when I turn my Xbox off and reload the game, any cars I add to my garage are gone, the hits I've completed for the hitman activity are gone, and I always restart at the college crib no matter where I had saved, has anyone else had this problem with SR2 or any other games? and is it a problem with the game disc, the Xbox, or my hard drive?

i've had lost saves before but i have never played SR2. Are you connected to the internet? if so there might be an update. if you have a live account you should check Xbox.com in the forums, you don't need to register if you already have a live account and they have game specific forums

I'm not on Live, but I figured the problem out after biting the bullet and joining a gaming forum, turns out the game was loading my autosave file for some reason, oh well, thanks anyways
