Default 98 M-Sport ti with m52 swap and zf trans - M-roadster Bilstein suspension

I converted the 4-cylinder with 250k and a dead auto transmission, to a 98 328i engine and zf tranny, 220k on the engine but head was rebuilt 1yr ago when I started the swap, and 50k on transmission. Short Ram intake, m50 manifold, custom 2 to 1 muffler. Bilstein Sports and M-roadster springs and strut/shock mounts, M-Sport factory sway-bars. MSA 17x8 40mm offset wheels with curbing, but straight. I also have staggered m-contours one rear cracked, and a nice set of DS1 BMW Motorsport wheels, tires with over 50% tread. The rear wing is cracked pretty bad but not really too noticable, the rear hatch has a dent under the wing, and there is a dent in the front driver fender. Several other scratches and bumps from previous owner, front bumper has been ripped off a couple of times, but isn't cracked. The car is located in Eastern Ky, but I don't mind a road trip at all.

Asking $5000, may look at partial trades for other modes of transportation.

Also has nice suede fabric headliner and alcantara shift and e-brake boots. 3.73 LSD I still have but removed for open 2.93, as this was my DD for several months. I will install whichever wheels and rear diff you desire for buyer. New front and back emblems, front and rear brakes and sensors, fresh oil change, new plugs and lots of maintenance since swap. 35% tint all around, back window is getting blurry but no blue tinting.

I'm curious. How does the car pull with the 2.8 versus the 1.9 drive train. My wife's Z3 has the same engine trans combo. My ti has the 1.9 and the auotomatic. GLWS! John

The bmw straight 6s are really nice. Smooth torque and great top end with the manifold. I imagine its 215 HP or so. The 1.9 is decent up top but the auto trans holds it back a lot. Only getting about 24 MPG highway as I was getting about 30 with the 1.9 and auto. The car is an absolute blast with the m52. Perfect boost of power for me.

Thanks. By the way, I am open to offers, and may take partial trades on a naked style street bike.

Added some interior, exterior, and engine swap pics to the photobucket.

Taking offers and might look at partial trades for other wheeled vehicles. No junk!!!

Hello, I am very interested in your car. I have a 1995 e38 740i that I would be willing to trade, black on black, great shape, 100k miles. Let me know if you are interested. Either way, I am interested.

Sorry, not a fan of big cars and just bought a Ford Fiesta to save on gas... but I will be detailing the car this weekend and will post some better pics of the cars bumps and bruises, interior and engine bay. Might put the 3.73 lsd back in since the MPG difference was only 2 or 3 mpg, when I kept the speeds under 65.

The car is still available. I wouldn't call it a project car as it is complete and runs great. Good daily driver. Just got 2 new tires for the DSI's and put them on. Just have to find the center caps and it will be very nice. Price drop to $4600 as I have other projects needing work.

I replaced the window clips when I got the car. All electronics, Alpine stereo, speakers replaced in the rear, windows, sunroof, gauges, etc... all work fine. Key only works in trunk and driver door. ABS and tranny lights on of course because there is no ecu for the Auto tranny, and I have removed the ASC.

Newer control arms, rear subframe bushings, guibo, m-roadster strut mounts, sway bar links, electric fan, etc...

It won't quit raining here in KY, but I will try to get the car cleaned up and better pics of the car up. I know I am out of the way for 99% of the population.
