Default Hi from Louisiana

I bought this 318ti for $300 from a friend about a while back. After having his 3rd kid, the BMW was sitting around and he knew I'd be a good owner, though he hated to see it go. I've always driven older cars and enjoy working on them myself. He bought it brand new in 1995 and took great care of the car. I have a record of every maintenance and repair done to the car. It came with all of the documents and original BMW roof racks.

I believe it is an Active model because it has cruise, moon roof, OBC, cloth seats, and 5 speed. I've been driving it for over a year and I absolutely love it. I always wanted a BMW and never thought I'd get one like this - I like the E30s and E36s - I don't like or want new cars at all.

My goal is to keep the car original and keep it alive for light daily driving for a long time. It has 150,000 miles, and I already replaced the shocks and a few trim pieces. I fixed the drivers window and removed paint scrapes. I tinted the windows.

I'll have to buy tires and replace brakes soon, and I thought this board would be a good resource for advice, ideas, and discussions about the car. This site is a great resource and I appreciate all of the content.
