One of the early tricks for breaking into a car and disabling the car alarm so you could loot/steal it was to go through the front turn signals. With that car missing both the driver's side turn light assembly and the air bag in the steering wheel I'd just about put money on that thing being stolen at some point. Plus the chrome rims... not a good sign. Even if it's legit now it almost certainly was not maintained well. | | | 02-05-2008, 05:38 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | i guess only time will tell but i think the car we would have to worry about would be the m3 that the motor came out of. i would do a vin check before purchasing it of course. but i think if it was a m3 stolen they would have swapped in the vaders too. unless it didnt have vaders. who really know. but im sure sean would do a very close inspection for me! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-05-2008, 06:00 PM | #37 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | If that pic in your signature is of your ti, I'd keep that bad boy. That's a very nice looking pic. | | | 02-05-2008, 06:04 PM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | well thank you. have more pictures in my gallery if your interested. i just want a sport really bad. club sport ideally but a swapped sport will do the trick too. plus black is one of my favorite colors on a ti so this car fits my liking in many ways. I also want a fun project to build up and bring back to life and this seems like it would also be quite fitting. and its an excuse to visit the colorado guys! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-05-2008, 06:22 PM | #39 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | I agree on the color. The ti looks extra sweet in black and with a few extras on the outside. Yours is by far the best looking one in green that I've ever seen though. Very nice work. And it's always fun to catch up with the cool BMW peeps. | | | 02-05-2008, 06:30 PM | #40 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | well thank you! i do like how it has turned out for the most part. but i just need a little something more and hopefully the next owner will care for it like it did. i really wanna wait it out to find myself a club sport. thats my new years resolution __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 02-05-2008, 09:29 PM | #41 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | Quote: Originally Posted by Johnny Utah I agree on the color. Mine is But yea the rims make josh's Ti look way better. | | | 02-05-2008, 09:34 PM | #42 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | Well, in fairness I haven't looked at yours yet. But most importantly I think we can all agree that the red is way better looking than the green. And since mine is about 3 or 4 shades of red then that must mean that it's the best looking one ever! | | | 02-05-2008, 09:35 PM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by elchicano318ti I disagree with this, his isn't the best green Ti.
