I was thinking of having the centers powder coated. I am not into chrome also in this type wheel. My dream set of wheels is AZEV type A 18's. I would use 17" for track use and 16" for street. I got style 18's in 18 on my car right now so these will be one of my "BLING" sets. I do also like 17" on these cars for the perfect balance of tire and rim. I want a set os 17x8 35+ and 17x9 +38 offset rears, I think those would look and handle pretty SICK with some good rubbers. I like all sizes and shapes =) you should see my stock collection of wheels for my RX-7's lol __________________ 1996 318Ti M-Tech Sport Non-Active 1990 RX-7 GTUs Widebody project 1990 RX-7 GTUs Brilliant Black "1 of 10" 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE 1963 Lincoln Continental *Suicide* Last edited by JunpoweR; 05-08-2010 at 03:03 AM. | | | 05-08-2010, 03:18 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: mobile,al Posts: 73 | yea, its just me, i hate chrome period! now if they were say, color matched to your car or just not silver and have the lips anodized and darkened that would look pretty sick, its what i have planed for my wheels | | | 05-08-2010, 03:20 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | You know my car is black on black like all my other black or white cars. I always liked midnight or black chrome also rather then polished it self on faces of wheels, but I believe the lips look better polished, they are not chrome, POLISHED! I hate CHROME! __________________ 1996 318Ti M-Tech Sport Non-Active 1990 RX-7 GTUs Widebody project 1990 RX-7 GTUs Brilliant Black "1 of 10" 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE 1963 Lincoln Continental *Suicide* | | | 05-08-2010, 03:24 AM | #10 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: mobile,al Posts: 73 | polish, chrome same difference lmao either way they still blind the hell out of you! well i think black chrome or bronze with a dark anodized lip would look hot! hell i just figured my colors just now haha sweet! | | | 05-08-2010, 03:28 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Nor Cal Posts: 136 | Quote: Originally Posted by bamaland polish, chrome same difference lmao either way they still blind the hell out of you! well i think black chrome or bronze with a dark anodized lip would look hot! hell i just figured my colors just now haha sweet! | Sorry I cannot let you say it is the same and get away with it! CHROME is a plating process that adds weight, the cheap way of looking polished! POLISHED is the bare metal POLISHED without adding weight and getting the mirror polish look you can never get from chrome. __________________ 1996 318Ti M-Tech Sport Non-Active 1990 RX-7 GTUs Widebody project 1990 RX-7 GTUs Brilliant Black "1 of 10" 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE 1963 Lincoln Continental *Suicide* | | | 05-08-2010, 03:32 AM | #12 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: mobile,al Posts: 73 | Quote: Originally Posted by JunpoweR Sorry I cannot let you say it is the same and get away with it! Or generalize it as being the same finish. At any rate, I would say snatch em up man! You cant go wrong and they look pretty nice. Even if you decide to part with them. You will certainly make a profit. FYI, IMO... two peice rims with chrome plated barrells look sick given the center plate is lighter or brighter in color. Good luck Junpower...... __________________ 1998'SportR.I.P. 1995 Sport AlpineIII | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
