Default NJ non-dealer BMW shop

Hi,

Can anyone guide me to a good non-dealer BMW mechanic/ garage in NJ? I would like to get some niggling things sorted and was wondering if there is someone in NJ who can guide me.

Thanks a ton

Hey, I just bought my TI from a place in Edison called European Motorwerks. I can probably guide you there on a weekend if you want. I have a 10% off card also since I got mine there and might be able to haggle a discount out of them. The owner seemed very down to earth and honest too. Though, I also have an uncle who's a mechanic in Hopewell. He works on mostly exotics such as Porsches and stuff. He has a lot of neat cars too, some of which he stores in his shop. He's a very qualified BMW mechanic and is the only place my family's M Roadster and my ti go to.

I can lead you to either place, Hopewell is around 20 minutes away from me whereas Edison is around 1.25 hours away from me.

I understand completely. I would definately say that both my uncle and the owner of European Motorwerks are honest guys. Honestly though, I think Edison might be closer to you. Here are both addresses in case you want to go to either:

The Car Depot (Uncle owns it, name is Joe Nosker)
9 Railroad pl
Hopewell, NJ 08525
(609) 466-1993

European Motorwerks (Owner is named David Ongaro)
72 Edmund St. (Intersecting Rt 1 N)
Edison, NJ 08817
1-866-278-1515
Site: http://www.europeanmotorwerks.com/

You can tell my uncle that I (Pat Nosker) mentioned you on this site if you want. I'm sure he'll spend some time talking to you, though he's pretty busy as far as I know. Good luck!

Both of them won't take you for any ride, but I suggest calling before going to meet them.

What did you end up doing? Also, glad to hear you've gotten it worked out.

Ask for Bill.

BTW I also purchased my car from European Motorwerks over a year ago, unfortunately my experience with them was a bit more unpleasant.

Oh, cool... who did you go to?

Also TT Racing, would you mind being more descriptive about your experience? Did you go to the BBB about your problem?

The sales guy was just a total dick and didn't know anything about any of the cars on the lot. That is all. I don't know if my issue was worthy of contacting the BBB.
