Default so it begins...

I have a 98 318ti that I blew the head gasket almost a year later I finally decide to do a motor swap...

Last week I bought a 328i with 125xxx mile towed it home. Decided to pull the m52 motor firstI'm currently at the end of day 2 (about 5 hours in to it) ...

the only things left to disconnect are the mounts and the drive shaft and the AC lines and the last 2 wires of the harness to the transmission..

Any advice of questions are welcome either here or email me directly

Saw that sedan on CL... I think you found a solid donor car.. Good luck with the swap!

I'm also parting it out in case anyone wants to do a passenger side fender or swap a dash...I'll give you pointers in case you get stuck but pretty straight forward...

looks like it came with some high quality "performance" parts, hopefully they at least took good care of the engine you're lucky it's an auto since it means there's really no way they could have over revved it

rad supports, EWS from behind the glove box, MAF sensor?
are you going to relocate the battery? if so, might as well snag the Secondary air pump too.
