Waiting on my part has had me doing some more lamenting on this project, I would like to paint the undercarriage, control arms, brake skirt...things, differential. Anybody have experience doing this? Any tips, tricks?

If your going to drive the car and enjoy it then dont. Its just going to get dirty etc. No sense in wasting the paint and $. If your going to make it a trailer queen, never drive it, and place mirrors underneath it at shows for all to see then go for it. That will really be the only way anyone will even know it was done.

Fed up with my mechanic not getting anything done, I'm currently talking to Pettit Racing in West Palm Beach to finish the engine wiring. They are rotary experts so hopefully they can do it for me

This is why I hate having other people touch my stuff... I teach myself everything thats needed for a project simply to avoid these issues.

I'm still on board to see how it turns out. Hope your mechanic woes get resolved. I wanna hear a ti that sounds like an rx7

I trust him, I just think we need some fresh eyes to get us past this wall we seem to have hit. And while I'm pretty good with a wrench, this project is out of my depth

You can do it!

Just throwing some positive vibs your way, its a nuts project and I can't wait for the outcome.

Oh and feel free to throw some more pics up from the work and project, it makes it more a bit more interesting, and it also just looks badass no matter what.

I would if anything interesting had happened, but alas, I am fully occupied and my mechanic needs me to hold his hand. Here is a picture I'm not sure I've posted this angle yet but thanks for the kind words . I've been rather discouraged lately

Ok, back to positive thinking. I have been speaking to cam Sr. At Pettit racing recently(who hopefully will be wiring this thing soon) and hopefully after a fully functional ti-Rx enters the fray...a few months after initial testing will have a Pettit built 400hp rotary dream car. Sit tight

He said Friday, I was unclear if he meant this Friday or next, but either way, I am amped up on this development, it feels as of a weight has been lifted and I know for fact that the engine will start within the next 14 days...Cam Sr. Is such a champ for even touching an ambitious project like this...don't judge me if I shed a tear in the startup video

I'm back in town now, and eagerly awaiting getting back up to Pettit to see and hopefully hear it. *fingers crossed*

Well...it starts! Gotta figure out a fuel delivery issue before it runs but it showed its first signs of life today
