It has a DASC installed (claims 236bhp and 178lb/ft). I know we've been over the whole "you can't put a BOV on a DASC", but look at the pics: Directly above the bypass valve, it looks like they mounted a BOV. It looks suprisingly similar to an HKS Super Sequential BOV: I'll paypal $10 to the first person that can find out how they did it. BTW...The DASC was installed by Azevedo Motorsports. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 02-14-2006, 04:20 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | i've heard alot of sc runners using dump valves __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | 02-14-2006, 04:27 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | i jut got that issue yesterday, havent had the chance to read it yet. __________________ | | | 02-14-2006, 04:39 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: England, UK Posts: 1,288 | errrr stumped. __________________ 1995 BMW 316i Cosmos Black Mods: • Magnex Cat-Back Exhaust • Smoked Corner Lights + Repeators • M3 17" Wheels • De-Baffled Air Box • AC HandBrake Handle and Gear Knob • DEPO Euro Epsiloids + Predator Chronium Rings • Chrome Interior bits •IE Poly-Urethane RSFMs • Kenwood Power Series Audio • Powder Coated e36 325 Front Callipers • Sports Seats | | | 02-14-2006, 05:20 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | I get why you need a BOV in a turbo (backpressure between shifts slows down the turbine) but why in a supercharger? __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 02-14-2006, 07:41 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: MN Posts: 155 | Quote: Originally Posted by aceyx I get why you need a BOV in a turbo (backpressure between shifts slows down the turbine) but why in a supercharger? | for the sheer driving pleasure of course __________________ live with boost | | | 02-14-2006, 08:20 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! Posts: 701 | It's funny how people exaggerate figures; 236hp at the wheels. So I guess his car has 295hp at the flywheel!? Downing Altlanta would probably want to contact him and hire him for R&D and then raise the price of their kit!? The MAF already accounted for that air, and now it's gone! I can't see the intake tract, but I'm sure he's got the factory MAF in place. WTF???? Does anyone know the guys at Azevedo Motorsports?? __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 02-14-2006, 08:41 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 02-14-2006, 08:44 PM | #10 | doesn't care about you.
