Default DASC (TT Stage2 injectors) serviced

I'm almost done w/ my Z3 build up/ overhaul, and the last few things I have to wrap up is the fuel system. I had to search for some rare 12mmx1.0 pitch banjo bolts for the fuel rail, and also figured I should get my fuel injectors checked and cleaned (just in case). I bought my DASC kit used and they came w/ NickG's upgraded Bosch 310cc injectors, and I wanted to have no doubts, and proper tuning when this car gets running (with NickG's stage2 program).

Anyway, RC Engineering is right around the corner from my work, so I dropped the injectors off yesterday at lunch. 1-day turnaround gives a printout with before and after spec sheets, new O-rings, caps, filters, and makes sure they're all "matched".

I thought the injectors would be fine, but I'm glad I had them serviced.
Here's the results: (test @ 43psi)
-------------------------------------------------------------
BEFORE CLEANING: / AFTER CLEANING:
Inj.# cc/min- pattern / cc/min- pattern
-------------------------------------------------------------
1) 294.0- Dripping / 309.0- Excellent
2) 301.0- Good / 310.0- Excellent
3) 303.0- Good / 310.0- Excellent
4) 305.0- Good / 311.0- Excellent

Can't wait to fire her up~

Damn that's a nice set of matched injectors you got there. Us guys in the real world have to pay extra to have someone go through a box of injectors and test them to match a set for us. Nice job

Those should run real good for you.

I always clean my injectors every 10 hours on my drag boat motors (over-kill). I just installed a set of matched 60# injectors on my car so I hope they stay clean for at least 10K miles.

Generally Bosch injectors are very consistent and there's nothing really you could do to balance them, unless as John suggest you go through a box and pick them to be close together...

Not sure who the OP used for his service, but when I had mine services I used this guy: http://www.witchhunter.com/. He did an excellent job and the injectors came back with a similar report...

Hey Luca,

This is Joe (Joemamaman). Basically when I said they came back "matched", I just meant they were a good match set. No need to pick out different injectors, etc. I just dropped off the injectors for service "just in case", since I didn't know the history on them, and sure enough the cleaning brought them back to perfect "matched" specs.

I'm going to drop off some 750cc injectors soon... and hope they come back just as matched as these.

Joe, I figured it was you... Not many folks in CA with a Z3 working on a DASC at the same time... eheheheh...

Knowing you got to chat with John means you got some top notch advice: he's a great guy!!!!

Check here:

http://www.rceng.com/Fuel-Injector-Cleaning-P43C0.aspx

They are located in Torrance not far off the 405 (Western exit). Drop your injectors off and grab some Hawaiian food while you're down here.

They have a 1 day turnaround time... if you come early morning, and request, maybe they can do same day?

Looks like normal price per injector is $24 each.
