I ran Time Only (TO) since I only do these once in a while. I could run ST3, which is like STS in SCCA. I got 7th out of 19 cars running time only. Here are the results, that Taurus that was fastest is very quick! I was thinking the same thing, but then again, everybody has to be terrible at some point in their driving career. The Elise dropped by over 20 seconds from their first run. Gotta be a 1st timer, or somebody who has not done autocross in a looooong time. __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | 06-06-2007, 07:57 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Lake Stevens, WA Posts: 119 | Quote: Originally Posted by Dan I What's your setup info? Quote: I wanna see the taurus that beat a Lotus | It was pretty wild, lowered, big race tires, no interior, and the motor sounded very strong. The driver was also very, very aggressive! The reason the Lotus was 20 seconds slower on his first run was he missed 2 gates (10 sec./each). By the way, fast time of day was an Exige in the hands of a fast guy, mid 50, about 1/2 sec. quicker than a Viper coupe. __________________ Pete N | | | 06-06-2007, 08:16 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | The very early ford SHO is a very fast car. It has a yamaha engine in it born from yamaha's racing program. I had a friend that had one in high school and he could outrun the 5.0 mustangs from the same time frame. He was also a pretty good drag racer. | | | 06-06-2007, 11:59 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 402 | I've never heard of an event where you are not DSQ'ed for missing a gate. That's strange. Two seconds for a cone, 'Did not Finish' for going off course. What club is that with? __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | 06-07-2007, 02:43 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Tampa FL Posts: 84 | We have 2 TIs running with our club. http://www.fscbmwcca.org/results07.html I run the one in class B. It has Bielstein PSS9 kit and R compounds. The other one in A class is the same as me, but with Dinan TB, chip, Swaybars, Cams and Aluim flywheel. However he blew the headgasket at sebring last month. So now he is getting a metrics head with huge cams and a stoker kit. Also mohaughn was out at an event . he needs to come back now that I have my suspension in the car. What club is that with? | This is with the Western WA Sport Car Council (WWSCC), but those are the same penalties that the local SCCA group used when I raced with them many years ago? 10 sec. for a gate, 2 sec. for a cone. I've never seen a course where you could make up 10 seconds by missing one gate! One guy was red flagged for a passenger having his hand out the window and it's an immediate DNF if you run over the timing wires, which actually happened a couple times. __________________ Pete N | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
