ABS light.

Yester day i went to work and everything was ok, when i left work my ABS light stopped on, my brakes work fine except the car just skids to a stop. Anyone got any ideas of what i should check for?

Check the vacuum hose attached to the intake, just ahead of the throttle body. It's facing the firewall, so it might be a little hard to find. That hose also contorls the ASC (stability control).
Did it rain while you working? Sometimes when some exposed sensors get wet that happens too.

Other than what weezer suggested I would check the appropriate fuses for the abs system. There are also two relays that can go bad, along with several sensors at the wheel, and also the abs hydro pump can fail.

Without knowing the exact code that is causing the light it will be hard to anybody on here to tell you exactly what is wrong.

Mohaughn is absolutely correct. Find out also what codes are showing, eliminate all the minor possibilities as mentioned, but ultimately if the brake liquid was never replaced and moisture got into the ABS pump, that will be the most expensive repair. How many miles/kms do you have on the car?
