So I'm starting to think about getting rid of it. I've put so much work in the past couple months and when I get little problems it pushes me closer to the edge. I bought it from the son of the original owners. He drove it from MD to AZ a couple times. Sold it because he was moving to Germany. With that said, it has a lot of miles (175k ish). I replaced the engine on it with one from bavengine.com. Read about it if you don't already know. They didn't tell me the engine mileage, but it's clean looking and runs well. Manual tranny, new clutch, new water pump, thermostat, radiator, coolant connectors. Relatively new re manufactured starter. New spark plugs, air filter, etc. new control arms and ball joints in the front. new front calipers, brake lines, rotors and pads. The rear pads are ok and should be done soon, with that the rotors need to get done. I bought the car at 135k miles. Since then I've put on new plug wires, aftermarket cat (which DOES throw the catalytic efficiency code, more on that if you are curious), new fuel pump sending unit and o-rings for both the sender and the fuel pump. The car was inspected (pennsylvania) like a week ago. And is good until november of next year. I'm not 100% yet, but I am thinking about selling. Curious what people would be interested, and what offers they may have... considering I've dumped easily 4 or 5 this year alone. Tonight my car decided to not start. it's probably just a loose connection somewhere. But i'm sick of getting stuck. There is a little care that needs to go into it. Currently wearing 15" steel wheels with blizzak snow tires. They have another year or two left in them. Regular wheels are the 16" alloy with 3-season mid grade tires. also have a good bit of tread on them. EDIT: I am going to be selling this. __________________ 1997 TI Sport, Silver | | | 12-12-2008, 08:34 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | hmm... i would say somewhere in the ball park of $6k? __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit!
