Error codes and odd sound

Ok so I borrowed my friends OBD 2 code reader and found the following:

P0442
P0133
P1423

From what I gather:

P0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected

P0133 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank1, Sensor1)

P1423 - Secondary Air Injection Bank 1 flow too low

I might add that it sounds as though I have a leak of sorts (intake, slight exhaust manifold) near the header or intake area. At idle from under under the front portion of the car it sounds that way. Under acceleration it does not get louder so I am not sure if its a leak from the exhaust system.

Any heads up on where to start myself before taking it to a shop would be helpful. I am going to take it to a place in Greensboro NC called Eurobahn which has good reviews and the mechanics sounded straight up.

Where I am stationed I don't have access to a full garage like on most posts. The extent of what I can do myself is change out rotors, brakes and such.

Any input is greatly appreciated! The car itself runs fine with no issues other than me needing to swap out the front right rotor

Update:

Have been doing a lot of reading in the error codes and such. Since its a long weekend for the military I orderd up some new front brake rotors, pads, and will change my oil this weekend.

Sounds like your secondary air pump might be leaking. It's held together by rivets which break and allow the pump to separate and leak. You can replace those rivets with nuts/bolts. I don't really feel like typing the whole explanation again as I've done it several times for people. Just search my posts for "secondary-air-pump" and you'll see what I'm referring to.

Yes I have done a lot of reading on this site and will be checking into that as well. For good measure I am taking it in to an exhaust shop to check for any leaks and such.

The Germans will reject my car if:

1. Any rust on fuel lines
2. Any exhaust leaks (punctures in any part of the system)
3. Vibration in brakes
4. Suspension parts worn

The speeds on the Autobahn dictate my Ti be in tip top shape!
Doing some PM (preventative maintenance and reading the repair manuals) will get me acquainted with my new ride.

Ok so sure enough the SAP only had a couple rivets holding it in place. Until I get the garage to myself (motor sergeant is gonna hook me up) I opted for a low tech temp. fix of using zip ties to clamp it together. Yes less than optimal but honestly more effective than the rivets and likely wont ever come off unless I remove them.

Took it to a great exhaust and brake shop today! Super honest folks. Anyways they could find no exhaust leaks. Let me look under her on the lift.

Quoted me $120 per O2 sensor to replace.

My brake rotors showed up today. I also got a buddy that works at Advanced so I picked up my oil, some tools, brake pads front&rear. Looks like I will have a busy Saturday!

Changed front rotors and pads today. Changed the oil but could not for the life of me get the filter off!!

Changed both pads on the rear today in 30 mins total. I am going to post a bunch of pics for those visual people like me.

had the same codes , it was my oxygen sensor relay that went bad and also that vacuum pcv valve that goes from valve cover (follow the hose) to valve . changed -cleared codes ok ...

Thanks for the heads up! I will look into both once my car gets here. There are sooo many Ti's where I am living now in Germany!
