This is a tough market to make it in and these guys seemed to be pretty green about the whole situation. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 03-19-2007, 01:43 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT I wouldn't hold your breathe. But I don't think they would have hit the 250 HP mark they were wanting to hit at the price range they were looking at and in a bolt-on kit. There also is not enough of a market. Last time I talked to Greg they were concerned about how many kits they could sell as 10 people had just bought the DASC kit. Greg made it sound like if the DASC GB had not gone forward they would have been pressing hard to still release their kit. They were only looking to sell something like 10-30 kits, and half that market went away with the DASC GB. It wasn't shady because it's not like they were selling a kit that didn't exist. They were just a small shop trying to make a name with a good product. In the end they were just to slow getting it to market. | | | 03-19-2007, 09:09 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn If they could have made the kit work it would have been nice. I know one guy with a DA m42, he's got 260+ to the rear wheels, but he's also got standalone (major money), cams, a crazy custom exhaust, all this crazy jazz. Yea the kit would've been great, the price maybe not. __________________ 318Ti Sport (Gone, but thanks for your years of service) | M3 E30 | 190E-16V | M Coupe E36/8 | | | 03-20-2007, 01:56 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Muncie, Indiana Posts: 1,551 | I was wondering what happened to SEAM just the other day. They had plans for a very nice ITB set-up. | | | 03-20-2007, 03:41 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | I speak from experience. Having dealt with SEAM (Greg Scrivner) on a few occasions for various parts, I am now never, ever going to do business with him or his company again even though I got the best prices from him. I don't know how he can stay afloat by ignoring his customers request for parts. Took over 3 months to get my parts. I probably emailed and tried to call guy more than 30 times before I could get a response. I had to talk to his dad before I got response from him. He seems to have some excuse ready, but time and time again, he proves how unreliable SEAM is. I figured this supercharger project of his is just another one of his empty promises. __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 03-20-2007, 03:47 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | LoL maybe he got mad when he got jacked. | | | 03-21-2007, 05:22 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | I'll be looking to SC in the next year.
