The only problem is its going to cost a hell of alot of money and I cant do everything at once. But I still havnt decided what I wanted to put in my car yet. __________________ Nick 1995 BMW 318iC. It'll definitely be something different and you'll give 6cyl cars a good run for their money You'll have the option to either SC or TC, depending on your preference. Ours is SC'd. Are you interested in getting one done and imported? | | | 03-09-2005, 12:27 AM | #18 | Site Moderator Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Naples, Florida Posts: 238 | I am not familiar with what you are talking about. It would probably be close to your setup with the M52 in a '95 chassis, there's was a turbocharged M50 in a '95 w/465hp, 12 sec 1/4. This has to be the fastest street legal ti. It had to have been able to corner to take 3rd overall and 1st place mid price sedan class. 1st place overall was a Mosler Raptor, 2nd was a Lamborghini Diablo. They do give a pretty detailed description of all the components used on the car. http://www.activeautowerke.com/cars/...ii/default.asp | Quote: Originally Posted by AlaskaBlue http://activeautowerke.com/cars/One...Tii/default.asp This is the 1999 winner of the One lap of America for Mid-priced sedan and 3rd overall, It doesnt have 600 hp but it has 465. It was a daily driver with 465 reliable horsepower. There are others with 600 bhp that are reliable daily drivers. | You could have at least given me credit on my post, never heard anyone on this board mention the One Lap of America ti. | | | 04-17-2005, 11:18 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | AlaskaBlue, do a search on "One Lap of America" (exact match using quotes). I had my ti 3 years before this event even happened, and heard the results real time. This wasn't somthing I "just found" on the web. | | | 04-18-2005, 01:04 AM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Columbia, SC Posts: 528 | My understanding is this... a supercharger will give your car more horsepower. If you're looking for quickness, a turbocharger will increase your torque and make the car accelerate quicker. With a SC, you get all your power available all the time. With a TC, you have to wait a second for the revs to build up to "spool" the turbo (get it up to speed where it makes power) but will get the added power under acceleration instead of at cruise like a SC. | | | 04-18-2005, 07:03 PM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: madison, WI Posts: 402 | sc-instant power all the time especially down low turbo-more power potential with more boost but also comes with lag especially in smaller motors __________________ Mods: clear turn signals, Silverstar headlight bulbs, k&N custom CAI, removed A/C, lightened crank pulley, painted brakes, custom clutch stop, custom strut bar, x-brace, custom solid tranny mounts, Memphis sound system, Sachs sport clutch, B&M short shifter, lightened flywheel, redline MTL ....
