Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Denver, CO Posts: 3,925 | I need a favor from someone in Europe I need a favor from someone in Europe. I found a part that is only available in Europe. If someone can source the part, (and it's resonably priced) I'll hook you up with some cash for the work. Is anyone interested? This is the part: http://www.emotors.ca/Articles/148.aspx O.E.M. oil filter housing cover, cast in aluminum with a threaded receptacle for an oil pressure gauge. It was included as standard equipment on the special edition E36 318is Class ll Motorsport Edition (homologated for the touring car championships). It was also an option in Europe for the E36 with M42 and M44 engines. Great for the street and track. With this description, I don't think it should be a problem finding one. Let me know if you can help, or if you know of any online BMW parts departments. Thanks! __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 12-21-2005, 04:40 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Hmm i'm interested in this too. It's a shame they don't sell it in the US. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-21-2005, 04:44 PM | #3 | doesn't care about you. Dusten and i both checked the ETK and didn't find it in there. the word "tool" in the description on the bag worries me a bit. Dusten and i were also discussing the possible issues with the location of the threaded receptacle which is right where most oil cap removal tools sit. you'll need another method for removing the cap. it would be nice to have an oil pressure sending unit up there rather than having it in the oil drain plug like some others have done. i'm potentially interested __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 12-21-2005, 06:36 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Watford, herts, England Posts: 805 | i might be getting some bits for cali-ti. i'd be happy to get whatever you guys want. my local dealer is pretty helpful. and you could split shipping costs. __________________ '96 318ti in Montreal Blue :m-tec sideskirts,m-bootspoiler,clear corners & repeaters .m-tech side mouldings, Magnex Exhaust System, leather armrest, F-15 gear Knob, 18" Evo 2's. I just need the cap with the threaded receptacle for an oil pressure gauge. PM me when you know more. I really appreciate this!!!
