I purchased it at a good price the motor and drive train are perfect and I mean perfect, no rattles or whines and it goes fairly hard for a 1.8 a little better than the E30 I had, it has a few niggles but nothing unusual going from what I have gleaned from here, control arm bushes and rear shock mounts require replacement, I have already fixed the broken window clips ( bastard of a job ) and re glued the the door liners, anyway that is enough for now, I hope to be able to make a contribution to this forum in due time, for now it is great to be back behind the the wheel of a BMW | | | 12-12-2008, 10:38 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | nice, congrats, I notice you have a trunk, but I guess we'll let you stay | | | 12-12-2008, 10:51 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by tiFreak nice, congrats, I notice you have a trunk, but I guess we'll let you stay | We can fix that car right up. They were "Keepin it Real" when they introduced the 318ti ClubSport in '95 and the 318ti Sports from '96 to '99. After that... well nothing else really matters. ~Jess | | | | 12-15-2008, 08:20 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Welcome! I know what you mean about the window, I had to fix mine about a week ago. I didn't use gloves and my hands were covered in that grey-paste-like grease. __________________ McLaren F1 - BMW M Power S70/2 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
