Default Windows Won't go down?

My windows are stuck and won't go down. When I push the switch to make them go up there is a slight noise that I can hear and it seems that the windows move just a small amount. When I push the down part of the switch nothing happens. The windows are stuck in the rolled up position. Anyone else have this problem? I would like to be able to roll down my window.

Window problems Ive worked on the windows toooo many times. It could be the motor, but far more likely to be the guide channels attached to the bottom of the windows & the vertical window guides. Either way, you've got to take the door interior panels off & window out. Then test window mechanism & clean the channels attacfhed to the windows & regrease, I use LM grease left over from wheel bearing work. I also found that cleaning the vertical window guides that the windows run up and down in made the world of difference. Just count yourself lucky your window is not hanging out at a funny angle + it's started to rain hard, been there & done that
