Default Club Sport and 325TI Meet up

Dave45056 and I met up this past Saturday. His CS is perfect inside and out. I kept telling him I was going to steal his bumpers, but he got away.

Hopefully when 96Cali and I swap his diff Dave 45056 and BlueSteel can stop by and we can get a big ole party brewing.

I took a few shots of the cars, enjoy...

Count me in. I'm all for parties and fixing ti's.
Campaiar's car sounds great. Must be that the exhaust is a foot shorter than regular 325's. It was not too loud but had a great throaty sound.
Needless to say it's also faster than mine.
But I have a question... do you only work on the rear ends of cars?
Or is this just a streak you have going?

I'll let everyone know when I hear from 96Cali on his swap. I'd love to have 4 TIs at the house at the same time.

Its a streak. Hopefully a small one. I'm happy to help though.

BTW, I'm calling dibbs on your car. Just let me know when your ready to part with it. I figure, it's going to be much easier to put a 6-cyl engine in your car, than trying to make my car look like yours. I'm a pretty good mechanic, just can't do body work at all.

Cali, you ready to join the LSD world yet?

Sounds fun! My '96 Ti could use some new brakes but the '99 wants the LSD and SS catback. Hmmmm... which to bring? You can check out the Dinan intake and engine software on the '99 too. It would be a nice comparison of Ti's.

I can be ready pretty quickly, just need to see if the dealer has my parts in yet. This Saturday i have a conference all day, sunday is kind of a family day. How about sat 4/7 or sunday 4/8?

Hey how far away is Oxford? Diane Reeves is playing there soon I think.

I think both of those days will work for me. I'll have to check with my other half for sure, but it should be ok.

Oxford is about 45 to an hour from you.

If I lived closer I would love to join the ti party and get a swap too! Hey 96cali's ti is not BLACK so he can't join the group.

I'll meet up with you guys, but I'm a Artic Silver TI, is that OK or do I have to rub my car with black show polish to be cool? My TI is almost back from the shop, so the urge to get out on the road is really bad.

LOL I am just going with the flow and the pics taken above! Any color is good but not as cool as black color.

Well if I bring Ol Red AND Bianca, we'll outnumber the black crew.

BTW where would we meet up? Got a grill? I'll bring some good chow.

Ok first off its not about color. We're all TIs...

We'd need to meet up at my house to do your diff swap. It won't take more than two hours if you have all the necessary parts on hand since I've done the swap a couple times already.

We've got a grill, deck, firepit and cars to ogle, so we should be set.

4/7 or 4/8. We should decide on one so people can plan. I'll leave it up to Cali.

Attendees:
campaiar
96Cali (possible with both TIs)
dave45056
BlueSteel????

Unfortunately, my wife and kids have a penchant for vacations. This lands right at the beginning of their Spring Break. So I am unavailable on those dates. 4/21 would be ok, though.

I could do 4/21 for the diff swap no prob. My only rush is that I want to get the '96 prepped for sale and I'm contemplating doing the front brakes. They have about 2-3mm of pad left before the sensor trips and the rotors are at the end of their lifespan too. For $125.00 I can have the parts here from Pelican- think it's worth it to do before a sale? My gut says yes because they will feel better and it's one less point to negotiate. What do you guys say? Campaiar would you be able to help me with that on 4/7 or 4/8 (next weekend)? I would review my bentley but without your help it's probably triple my time. I would totally owe you.

I don't see any problems with that. The brakes won't take anytime at all.

Ok, so 4/21 for the rear end and 4/7 for the brakes.

Who's coming when? Let me know whos in so I can PM directions.
