Default brake light mod (Not to be confused with extra brake light mod)

OK, so as you may or may not know, the e36/5 compact's tail light lighting sequence is different from the other e36's. So, to remedy that I went ahead and modified the tails using the DIY on this site... I had got a set of tail backings for free and decided to cut the metal lines instead of drilling into them. I then ran a wire from location to location using slide on connectors directly onto the metal prongs... worked like a charm!

Here is the outcome.




Oh, I also managed to put on my 318ti badge in the correct location this time!

I always wondered why BMW didn't just do that in the first place since the ti is the only E36 that uses the outside sockets for brake lights looks pretty good, and I see your spare tire carrier is no longer red
