Default Earth quake on the east coast!

Anyone else feel this? First one ive been through didint seem all that strong but it had everything swaying enough to where my company is checking the gas lines and hydrchloric acid lines for breaks. Im in VA and and was just told it was a 5.8 in Washington DC and felt in WVA. Anyone else on the east coast feel this?

Just told it was a 5.8 from Charlottesville to Richmond and felt in New York.

I felt it in Greenville SC. My monitor started to shake.
I thought someone was behind me rocking my cube.

I know, nothing for you left coasters.

Yeah it was def a new one for me! I'm about 1 1/2 hours away from where it centered so it was a good shake and shimmy here. It was funny because a lot of the factory personnel and office staff were freaking but all the Japanese management and engineers just kept working like nothing was happening lol. They never even looked up!

No worries on the East coast. Just a little shakin and swayin. A couple of women screamed, couple of men screamed like women, shaking stopped and all was quiet lol.

So far no damage has been reported other than to a few pairs of shorts.

5.9 magnitude? Meh. I'm not even sure we would evacuate for that, here in CA. (kidding, of course)

I spoke with my GF in DC a couple hours ago- she said everyone there was freaking out. They got sent home for the day, but she was kind of sketch on riding the Metro so she's just hanging out at a friend's house. Pretty heavy duty for the mid-atlantic! I read where it is the strongest quake to hit the region in 110 years!

I guess there is no choice but to get on the Metro, although I'd be a little worried about being underground with the possibility of an aftershock.

Well, it's not unlike that here in So. Cal.- if we get 0.5" of rain, suddenly it's: "Stormwatch 2011!!"
