Default Ride Height & Rake - Opinions?

Hey Gruppe,
I recently refreshed the suspension on my Ti.
Parts were Eibach springs, Bilstein Sports, Turner rear shock mounts, E36 M3 FCAB, 318Ti Upper mounts.
Pretty basic setup but quite effective refresh.

My car handles great, its transformed over factory original, stock,,, "shot" 154K mile base model parts.

I did however have a question about ride height.
The rear looked a little high.
I waited a month to see if the shocks settled which I know Bilsteins can do.

Tonight I measured from the RIM bottom straight up to the wheel arch.
This takes tire size out of the equation.
Front is 55 CM, rear is 56 CM. Sure enough, rear is a tad higher.
This is with 16" rims.

Can anyone else with any types of sport springs (especially Eibach brand) post your heights FR - RR and list your rim diameter?

When I did my install I left the stock rear spring rubbers in.
I am wondering now if I should have taken them out.

Its easy to take them out, I think next time I have the car on the lift I will pull them. That right there might make 1/2 the difference.

I welcome your comments.
Cheers
jimmy p

There are different thickness rear spring pads you can use to fine tune the ride height. They come in 5, 7.5, 10, & 15mm sizes. Part numbers can be found on realoem. Removing a 5mm pad will lower the ride height 1/3", 10mm = 2/3".

I think stock non sport uses 10mm pads.

Nice info.
Thanks Dave.
That may be my solution.

I'd like to see how much rake other people have just to know if i am normal or on the right track trying to match the ride height front to rear.

Posting followup for anyone in the future.
Removed rear spring rubbers now ride height is perfect.
It would seem that this spring mfg (Eibach) intended users to do without the rubber pads as pulling them put the car's ride height perfect.

Thanks
jimmy
