power door locks.. keyless entry.. doors lock and unlock until I open a door!

well, first of all I never lock my car because my driver side door lock will only turn to the left.. and when I turn it to the left It turns all the way around.What I mean is that I can go counter clockwise all the way in a 360.. I cannot turn it to the right.....The passenger side turns fine I can lock and unlock, this doesnt engage the power locks, im not sure if its supposed to or not..as for the rear hatch, lets say its locked. I put the key in and turn to the left.. It unlocks itself fine, but the lock for the driver side door will do this: unlock, lock, unlock, lock.. then stop.. So the obvious issues here are the lock for my driver side key, and possibly the driver side door actuator? anyone had a similar issue? Ive searched but never seen anything like this. I have no problem taking off the door panel and changing the actuator, ive seen the DIY and it seems fairly simple to just change the actuator.. I can get by with just the keyfob power locks working.
