Default S52 Swap need help with EWS!!!

Hey guys,

So I put an s52 into my 318ti. Both OBDII and the donor m3 was in an accident so the EWS won't deliver any fuel or spark so it won't start. I have a few options and would like to know everyone's opinion.

1. Called two different dealers in the area to see if they could align the EWS with the ECU. They said no problem but do all the EWS components vins line up with the ECU. No I stupidly didn't take the m3's EWS and ignition. So for the dealer to do it I need to get all matching stuff which is not possible unless I find an m3 parts car. (brought mine to the junkyard and is not a soup can)

2. Somehow find a way to bypass the system. Not sure if its possible but if it is I will figure it out. You can do it on EWSI cars by just cutting wires near the ECU, pin 7 under the hood, or on the EWS module itself but NOT on EWSII cars.

3. Get have Turner send me the shark injector with the EWS delete on it for 500 bucks.

4. DIY Autotune or Megasquirt? I know nothing about them but makes sense.

5. or any thing i'm missing.

You can bypass it with a chip. I think turner Motorsport has a chip they deletes EWS. It's like 400 bucks or more though

Well its a tune not a chip. And yes they do its 499 though and I need the euro 3.5 HFM for it to work. I will most likely be going with the turner route which means getting the euro hfm but when all is said and done it will cost at least 600 bucks. Thanks for the input!

The $100 pricing there is for OBD1 eprom based computers, witch is exactly the same price as my EWS delete chip for OBD1

dylanreid16 is running a Siemens Ms41.1 OBD2 DME witch requires a flash to remove EWS and the DME to be shipped

I was under the impression that the EWS from the donor car is NOT needed. The 318ti's EWS matches the key of the 318ti and what needs to be done is to program the S52 ECU to accept the signal from the car's EWS.
I have "heard" that you can also remove the chip from the donor car's key (if you have it) abd place in the 318ti's key. If you use the donor's EWS module, it will recognize the chip from the key (They match) and will send a coded signal to the ECU which will alos be recognized, and the car will start. I have not confirmed that option to be true but if it works, it saves from replacing ignition switches, door lock cylinders and the hatch lock.

Thanks for all of your help everyone. I'm looking into a few local places just because my e30 just broke a rocker arm so I really have no car and need the ti now. Pierre the thing with that is if I did match all of the components with the ECU, the donor car still did hit a telephone pole so the EWS needs to be reset anyways. BMW Connect how fast could you do it? You're up in Canada right?

and TRM's system must be down because their website won't work and their phone won't either. But if my local place doesn't work out I will be going to them most likely.
