I told Sean I was going to post this scene from the original The Fly movie made in 1958...and yes that is the venerable Vincent Price...

There are more (moar?) parts in the boot as well (power steering reservoir and lines, auto trans gasket and bolts, maybe others). Oh yeah, new battery as well (it's been outside the car on a trickle charger though since we believe there is/was an electrical gremlin). Once we (Sean?) get to the replacement of the positive battery connector, we can install the battery and see if there is still a drain (Sean was able to remove the aftermarket head unit he thinks may have been causing it).

The car cover is still in the box on the shelf in the garage... I think you brought it over after Zippy semi-retired to Mead and I forgot about it.

Yep student loans are a pita but they're paying my salary every two weeks...

thanks John...i might take you up on that sometime!

I had a few of my old MHti buddies here at the house today...KayDenver (clay) and Elchicano318ti (Dave). it was great to see them and talk cars again. clay drives a sweet audi A4 Avant...and his 318ti is his wifes daily driver. dave drives a chevy blazer that is real clean...he wants another BMW tho.
before the boys came over i was in the garage painting my Racing Dynamics a nice flat black...i think you all will like them now.
here are some pics for your viewing pleasures...ENJOY!
Sean

yep, like dave said...those are his old rims with a whole new lease on life. i was talking with my boss about how tough it was to sand them and he suggested that i bring the to work and take the sand blaster to them in order to get in all of the nooks and cranny's...so i'll be doing that here soon! then they will be ready for a few coats of that flat black paint that actually looks pretty good on'em.

yeah, the one i painted looks pretty sweet. BUT, i wasn't able to get it perfectly smooth...so up close i could see the old paint peel marks. that just won't cut it! Next time you see them i will be very pleased and not wondering if i could have done more the first time...
Speaking of good looking wheels...yours are sharp with the purple! now Cindy Lou wants me to take her 330ci wheels to the powder coater for the same treatment...she loves purple!
