The engine always stop~!!!help!!!

my car is 97 318ti m-spec, in the past few month the idle speed runs strange, the tachometer was calming, but i can felt that the car is shaking sometimes not so bad but sometimes bad. when the car was running, from stop to 60K/m, change from first gear to second gear and from second gear to the third gear feels not so smooth.
but today the car was getting worse, i try to start the engine in the first time, it failed, the second time, engine started but stoped couple seconds later with "broof broof", the third time still like that, and i made the rpm to 2000, feels good, once i drive the car on the road, sometimes good, but sometimes no response when i was still push the gun and then suddenly make a big response. when the speed down to 10k/h, the engine stoped.

can somebody plz help me wats going wrong with my car? something need to be changed????
i am not really good at car, could somebody help with detail? thank you!!!!!

Did you check the spark wires?
Try this:
1. turn on the engine
2. while engine at idle, pull the spark wires one by one, but reinstall when the engine stumbles.
3. If it is a bad wire, when you pull that bad one, the engine's idle will not change....this means that particular wire is bad and you will have to replace the wires as a set.
Did the Check Engine Light come on?
Have you also checked all the vacuum hoses around the intake, including the very small one that comes out of the throttle body?

i sent my car to bmw service centre, and they checked that was the timing sensor faulty, just that problem. but the car still a little bit shake...and they said that's normal... but i still think there is still something wrong.. my pro friend said would be the PCV Valve problem, and sometimes i still can heard the crank crank crank noise, BMW guys still said no problem... what u guys think ?

Try changing out the cam sensor and or the air mass sensor.97 I have 3 bmw's a 96 ti, 97 528i and a 00 528i, I have come up with similar problems in the past. Maybe that will help you.
