Clutch takes a while to engage?

hey all, my trans has felt perfect since i got my car in october, but JUST Yesterday, it started to feel a bit weird. It grabs near the bottom, but it just takes quite a while to fully engage... I mean i can shift normally, but... this is hard to explain.

Let's say/

The clutch grabs 2 inches above floor. So it grabs, engages, and i continue to drive...

Now, the clutch still grabs in the same place, but it continues to progressively engage until almost the top.

I recall it doing this once before, but I noticed it went away. Any ideas as to what this could be? I was thinking bleed and replace the trans fluid.

Also, lets say i'm in first gear and i press the gas a little and let go, it sounds like the rear of my car is loose or something. I hear clunks until it stabilizes. I had the bushings and Ball Joints/control arms checked, and the mechanic said it looked good. That was when i had the front fully replaced. I also just noticed this clunking. It also happens when rolling in reverse with the wheel turned.

try bleeding the clutch first, how many miles are on the clutch?

I do not know, I got the car in October with 83,000 miles on it, but it was a reposession, so there was no paperwork on it. I only found info on the alarm and the tires in the leather case in the glovebox.

It has 94,000 on it now. This happened spontaneously, and I have never really beat the hell out of the clutch.

my guess is that its original, and its certainly in the normal range for dying clutches, mine went out completely at 120k. yours is probably just starting to slip, can you catch second gear rubber on the 1-2 shift?

Ok, i just got back from driving my younger cousin home from school, and it feels tighter on the downshifts, but is still a little soft going up through gears. Definitely better than yesterday, but still a little odd.

After driving around running errands all day, i can say that my clutch feels great again. I wonder what causes it to get all pissy?

Cold weather can cause bad performance in shipping, or you could need your transmission mounts checked out. A flush could help cold performance in cold weather too...probably
