Default MemoScan B200 SRS/Airbag Tool

So, I just took a chance on a MemoScan B200 SRS/Airbag scan & reset tool off eBay. It was shipped from Beijing China from eBay seller "sun_mingshan". It was only $78.98 with shipping. The Peake brand scan tool is about $129.

Anyhow, I just got it after about 9 days, and tried it out. It seemed to work perfectly! I used the Peake tool many years ago, and this seemed to be nearly the same system. I came up with a code for a driver's side seat belt buckle switch.

The tool itself has an OBDII type plug at the end and also comes with an adapter to use with the round E36 connector. There also is a nylon pouch and instruction manual.

Just thought you guys would like to know a cheaper option over the Peake tool for your E36 airbag light.

Be interesting to dissect and see if its a clone of a peak.

Yes. If you are willing to dissect the peak. We can know if that is really cheap.

My friend told me that some guys from Asia sells auto parts cheap since its only a clone of the original one.

Do either of you know the BMW codes for a passenger side airbag warning light?
Regards
Dave

The normal airbag on the passenger's side, or the actual "side airbag" for the passenger? I can get the codes out of this machine's manual which I think is the same as the Peake tool. Will that do you any good?

Default airbag codes

Hi there
I have the warning light on for the airbag on the passengers side after moving the seat right back then fwd again. I think the loom was stretched to the point where it was just not mating correctly in the connector.
I do not believe there is a fault in the seat detector as its hardly ever used and the car is V Low miles.
Before investing in another seat mat etc I wanted to check and reset the codes in the management device.
I have a VAG 5053 tool for my audi and I have a OBD2 to 20 pin converter cable plus I have a lap top with com ports 9 pin din and a 25 pin converter.
so i should be able to communicate to the BMW 318Ti 20 pin somehow.
Its just that I dont know the codes to use.
Is there a pdf copy of the manual with all the codes or perhaps a scan, or
what do you suggest.
Thanks
Dave
