Default 2JZGTE in a 318Ti??

Maybe i'm swinging out into left field but has this been done at all? I'm putting down over 450rwhp on just my Bpu Supra but am building a more powerful 2J motor and was thinking it would be cool to put my bpu motor and mate it to the Gertrag 5-speed in the Ti. If anyone knows about 2J's they are about indestructable stock up to 700hp and can get there very easy with a single and fuel. Also the fraction of the price of any BMW powerplant.

it's been done in the E36 chassis, I'm sure it would be possible, I very highly doubt the Getrag would be able to stand up to the abuse though

ha ha thats funny the 2J is the way far suprior motor then the 7m. You can also pick up a jdm one for around $1,800 with auto tranny and there you go a platform that holds up to 700whp with bone stock internals. I have a friend to that only did a single t78 Greddy turbo kit with stock internals and stock fuel but mixes methanol and put down 697rwhp at 28psi. I put down 430rwhp on my stock twins at 23psi. How much are low milage M3 motors e36/e46

S52s (E36) run around $2,500 now.

S54s (E46) .. probably around $5k? don't quote me, total guess. They were north of $6k a while back.
