Default 99 328i into a 98 318ti

What I need are the swap off the 99 328i into a 98 318ti are:

+harness,
+ECM
+long block (maybe trans, but i heard 318ti can mount in)
+exhaust &
+cluster?

Do i need to get the radiator reservoir/radiator too?

& about the EWS II----

If I can't get the EWS II off the 328i, then I would have to do the bypass with an aftermarket chip from turner motorsports and still use my key with the 328i ecm, right?

But If i can get the EWS II off the 328i, then by connecting the 328i ECM and EWS II module, the 318ti key should be fine?

Just wondering if I need the keys from the 328i, and key cylinder and EWS II module or not.

If there's anything else I'm missing for the swap, let me know.

Please help, thanks guys!

1. Is the donor a manual?
2. Is the Ti Auto?

Ignition switch from manual will not fit into an auto steering column.

Ask me how I know.

My donor was 328 MT. TI was auto. I swapped in EVERYTHING from donor including key harness plug for smaller EWS-II module below steering wheel. Ignition switch from 328 won't fit in the TI column.

So right now I have the 328 key in its ignition lock zip tied underneath the TI steering wheel and plugged into the EWS-II connector. I use the TI key to turn the ignition lick, but electronically it's all 328. When I get me DmE flashed, I will delete EWS, so I will have the original TI keys only.

Yes, you need the 328 radiator and drivers side radiator mount. Turn it upside down FTW.

Hope that all makes sense.

Yeah, donor is a manual and the Ti is manual also. The guy is asking 400$ for the 328i long block so if i throw in around 600$ probably looking to get the exhaust, ews ii, trans, harness, ecm, and radiator ect. I hope.

I think if I bypass the Ti ecm with EWS II delete, i can run the Ti key with 328i ecm and longblock. Right?

Thanks

You'll still have EWS issues unless you get the 328i DME flashed to remove it... Get the DME, EWS module and the 328 key...
