Hello every one. As you can tell I'm from the ZX2 forums. I havent come over here too bash anyone unlike a few of your members have on our forum's. I have been checking in on your forums to get a glimpe's of the project. AS you we are getting discouraged but it still ids in the works from what i have been told. And to who ever posted on our site i'll let you in on a somthing. I have run a 13.88 n/a atx "escort" . If thats not fast enough for you Kiss my Irish a#$. Yes the BMW are nice cars and well respected around the world. tHe Escort in the U.S. NEVER got promated by Ford. Now the U.K. on the other hand got the RS2000 and the Cossies. We in the states got the crap Escorts until the 3rd gen ZX2's came out and they killed the car after Roush Racing built a S/C Fusion ZX2 that crushed the Mustang GT

Admin note: I split this thread so not to take away from the original SEAM thread.
It served no purpose to continue there.

Ha!

The Focus ST is a pretty neat little car. Send a thanks to the members of your forum. Without you, the SEAM program would probably cost a lot more.

Also, an apology.

And who the F is the tart that's posting in that forum?

Whoever is BMWownsZX2 on teamzx2.com, as the say STFU.
You have absolutely no right to crap on someone else's board.
You can either offer an apology on teamzx2 or be banned here.

Thank you guy's. I have been in contact with greg from time to time on this project. Trying to help with issues he might have. He relizes there is a Large market for the S/C on the VCT ZETEC engine. Many Escort Owners have swaped the engine into there 2nd gen ,4 door models and Contour's. Giving the S/C kit more of a market base. Hence it this drives the cost and resons for the expence down of the development.

On a side note who would have thought the 2 cars would have anything in commen

just imagine this with a S/C next to you at a light

Rousch- Sorry you all got a bad impression of our forum. We're usually quite friendly. I have been a secret fan of the Countour SVT's. Care to tell us more about the ZX2 and engine/tuning options? How did you come to have a ZX2?

For me, I love the handling and open air folding canvas roof on my ti.

96cali= the car is extreamly tunable Just has been looked over by the aftermarket due to the Focus. The base engine is a 2.0l DOHC I4 with 130hp and 127ftq on a car that weighs 2300lbs or so. WE in the ZX2 community take great pride in the fact that it is a slepped on domestic that some have recorded 12 and 13 sec 1/4 miles both boosted and n/a. I bought the car new in 98 as a work car but i fell in love with the handling and performance of the little bugger. The rest has been history. From getting parts custom made and tracking down rare parts originally designed for Ford like my Facia.

Ford produced 2100 S/R model's of the car in 99 and 00 That came with upgraded pcm,Spec stage2 clutch,150 speedo, Roush Racing/Iceman intake, B&M shifter, Borla Exaust, Tokico struts. Eribach springs, and a Energy Suspension bushing kit.
These are sought after in the community.

Yeah.. I definitely did not intend for someone from this site to go bashing people on your site. I was looking around for information on this kit and found the ZX2 site. Since you guys were in the same boat as us I thought the link could be useful.. I'm sorry that it caused an issue.

WHAT THE **** IS IN AN FORD FOCUS SVT?!?!?!?!?!?! heres the story-

im in my car (1999 ti no more DASC- got taken out, but still has supersprint exhaust) at a stoplight right after school. Now this kid i know pulls up next to me and obviously wants to race, and i was just thinking im going to waste that gay car. Light turns green, im winning in the beginning, but at the higher rpms, this thing just blowwws past me- it won by like 4 lengths. let me just say i won a lot of respect for that car. Anyways, whats in it, has anyone else raced an svt?
