Default New member - drive the E36 M3 but love the ti!

Hi guys, As you can see I am very new to this site, I actually belong to the M3forum but so many of my friends drive the ti that I decided to join this forum I actually have a little bit of an agenda that hopefully will be of interest to some. If some feel offended by this, I sincerely apologize and will not bother anyone anymore. So, I have access to quality re-wrapped, thickened 3 spoke steering wheels with M stitching that were installed in '99 E36 M3s. What I was wondering is how many of you guys would want this kind of wheel installed in your car? It would come with slip ring and the necessary bracket to convert your 4 spoke to fully functional 3 spoke with single stage airbag. I could even do it for you myself if you'd be willing to come over to Riverside area in SoCal it's really straight forward. The price of the wheel+new switch bracket+slip ring would be ~$380-400 shipped depending on whether the leather is standard Nappa vs perforated leather (this is way below the market prices of eBay btw). This would be an awesome replacement and a massive visual upgrade for any E36 (speaking from experience here)! Again, if anyone feels that this is a malicious or inappropriate post, please let me know and I will gladly delete it - my intentions are good and I'm just doing a little market research here If you're not tired of reading this post yet, I'll tell you a little about myself: My name is Ivan and I am currently finishing my doctorate degree in medicine and E36s is my biggest hobby. Being almost done with my medical license exams, I can spend some time doing what I really love - restoring what I think was the last generation of BMWs that were truly a joy to drive

I did this swap myself. Totally worth it! I'm also in Riverside.

Whereabouts are you from?

Yeah, they look great on any E36, I was just sad that the 318ti came with the M trim but not the nice M steering wheels - hence my proposal
I actually just moved to Loma Linda since that's where I go to med school

Default example of the wheel

Hey guys, this is an example of re-wrapped, thickened steering wheel with Nappa leather that I was talking about (if anyone is interested to order)

I have a Euro M3 3 spoke installed and I really like it over the stock steering wheel. Nice if you can get one...

Thanks Ivan for offering up here!

nice, looks great, man! I have it on my M3 as well. I had to change it because the ugly 4 spoke "bus wheel" was getting to me, lol

The quality of the rework on your wheel makes it look brand new. Nice job, someone will be lucky...

well, this particular one is mine (the 3 spoke I had shows some wear and tear and I'm OCD like that) - so I'll be lucky
but if anyone is interested, there is more where this came from
