Hi Everyone,

Picked up a '97 318ti Base this weekend w/ 171K miles. The car has been around the country - my plans for it are to clean it up a bit and make it a daily driver & leave at the airport car.

It's got some issues I need to address
Brake Light Switch
Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor
Odometer Light Fade
Passenger Window Regulator

I'm grateful for resources like 318ti.org and Pelican Parts to help me take resolve these. I've been spoiled by cars in our "Fleet" that don't have these issues, but I'm eager to get my hands dirty and this stuff fixed!

Welcome to the club. Odometer issue sounds like a burned out bulb. Other items pretty simple repair with the exception of the seat occupancy sensor. There are also a lot of options for parts that are less expensive than your choice. I look up the part number on realoem.com and then enter it into furiousmethod.com to find the best prices across a number of suppliers, including online dealerships! Most prices I get from there are better than I can obtain through my wholesale account at my local dealership.

Again, welcome to the club

I appreciate the tips, 740i!

The ODO light & oil health lights are on/faded at startup, and then turn off completely after a couple of seconds.

I'm hoping the Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor/Passenger AirBag warning light issue is just a replacement part fix.

I'll definitely check out those links - and thanks for the welcome!
