I used the aftermarket shocks from old Toyota Corolla like for '86 year model (AE86). I would assume like TEIN would have the similar as mine, adjustable length types. this will give you the stroke you need and the shorter overall heights. (threaded shells) you will need a larger shock mounts and a metal collar for the bottom bolts. Good luck! __________________ taishi | | | 05-27-2010, 02:43 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Those are yummy! __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 05-27-2010, 09:19 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Yokohama, Japan Posts: 40 | Thanks!! If you are going for the slammed look, dealing with bottoming out and poor handling is the trade off for looks. | | | 05-28-2010, 03:24 AM | #12 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Yokohama, Japan Posts: 40 | I did have coilovers in the front with Swift springs but when i put the 19s it had clearance issues so i switched back to normal type Ohlins shocks/Apex springs with the threaded height adjustable ball bearing mounts. this threaded body can keep the same travel with shorter/longer total heights...i think. when it does bottom out most likey the tires/wheels will hit the body first when i checked my car. if i remember correctly, i compared the with APEX and Bilstein shocks and it had a little more travel...if not it was near the same. (sorry forgotten) I have attached a pic with dimensions...sorry its in Japanese. __________________ taishi | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
