Default My alternator has metallic noises while idling

I sent this alternator out for rebuilding at a local alternator place last month. New bearings, diodes and voltage regulator.
It was quiet during the first month. But now it is making some metallic noises while idling.
Any ideas before I ditch this Bosch alternator for a reman from Advance?

I googled Bosch alternator metal on metal noise and this turn up.
it looks like the floating stator has moved out of center.
I will send it back to the rebuilder and see what he finds out.

"These units have a "floating stator", meaning that when the unit is assembled the rotor is not pressed into the alternator castings like a conventional alternator, but is placed/centered in the housing and held in place by the pressure of the through bolts holding the entire assembly together. If these units are dropped, or are subject to pressure during installation, the stator can actually shift slightly which will cause noises that range from a magnetic type 'hum' to a metal-on-metal noise.;"

Do you have warranty? If so, take it back. As Bazr01 said it could be the floating stator.

Well I decided to replace the Bosch alternator with one from Advance instead of fooling with it. It has 250k miles on it so it's at the end of it's life.
It is good and quiet now.
