Default Big brake kit upgrade! See if you can give me a hand?

Hey Folks!

See if you can give me some help.

I want to upgrade my brakes, but donīt want to spend a lot of money with brembo, stoptech or some brand like this.

My car is a 323ti front 286mm and rear 280mm both vented.

Iīve been searching 318ti.org and found some posts about E36 M3 and E46 330 swap.

Iīm thinking about mod only front ones.

What do you think about? Which parts do I need?

Thank you!

wow, I could've sworn I was just reading a thread about this

http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19669

I believe that covers both the 330 and M3 brakes that you'll need to be looking for.

Is there a comparison between e36 m3 and e46 330 performance?

Rotors, pads, calipers, carriers, and what else i need to install this? It's plug and play or i need some extra part or modification?

Thank you!

Unless the calipers are new, get the rebuild kit and replace the seals. Good fluid is extremely important, either ATE Super Blue or Motul RBF600 ($$!)

Thank you very much for all inputs!

I am already searching for a used kit, and it is easier to find an M3 e36, e46 330 are very rare.

Need 2 advices:

How much do you think they value?

Any idea of weight on a front kit?

you MIGHT also need the M3 master Cylinder. It all depends on how "mushy" your stock one feels as it tries to push more fluid than stock into the M3 or 330i calipers.

...or just buy carriers for the E46 328 and a set of rotors for the came car. You will have 300mm front brakes. You will not have to fight with hubs.

What is required for 330 brakes, I do not think they are a direct bolt on?

330 brakes require 330 rotors, calipers, carriers. the carriers bolt right up.

You mean that if i got to e46 330, i donīt need 330 hubs (spindle)? 330 carries will bolt right up in my stock ones?
