Exclamation Where to Buy Quality Parts that won't Break the Bank

Hello
Both me and wife own Bimmers, so I am looking for a source for quality replacement parts that won't break the ban. Please post your thoughts and feelings on some of the internet parts companies. If you have had a bad experience dealing with a certain company please let me know that too. Thanks

Chris

I find with my 20% BMW CCA discount I can find parts cheaper at the dealer.
When comparing Genuine BMW parts you can't always compare them to internet sites.
Some parts don't matter, some do. And when it comes to the ti, they don't always have correct information.

Like H3 says, what are you looking for?

I've found that www.eap4parts.com is the cheapest.

i recently ordered a thermostat from pelican. only 5k miles on it, but i have no reason to suspect it will fail irregularly. comparing the parts they were nearly exactly the same, but the price was $17.

i know a lot of people that order porsche parts from them, and have no problems.

Pelican is more expensive than going to the dealer and getting your 20% discount. BTW, Pelican uses standard BMW part numbers as their own, just drop the BW- in the front. Find the part you need through Pelican and then call the dealer.

I got my flywheel for $80 less thru the dealer, plus they didn't charge for shipping. Sometimes you have to wait a long time for backordered parts from Pelican, my dealer can get things from Germany in 3 days but Pelican won't ship anything from Germany, only parts available in the states.

I got a bad taste in my mouth from Pelican, but your results may vary.

not all dealers give the 20% discount. some only offer 10%, and some (like any in central indiana) don't even offer any at all, which is why i went with pelican.

truth be told, i'm probably going to order from pacific (cali) or tischer (md) from now on. tischer offers their cca discount to phone orders, but pacific doesn't require cca membership to get their best price. they're quite competitive on price, it probably will come down to shipping costs for you.

your location would be helpful. we can point out more if we know where you are.

That is true. And some mark up their list price from BMW's MSRP. You really need to price around.
