They were standard on late model year e36 convertibles. It will fit the 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder engines. | | | 02-12-2007, 06:46 PM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Ireland Posts: 382 | if u look 3 posts before ur one u'll se a link dat has a part number... __________________ ............................. ..........1999 318iS Coupe.......... Rear upper strut brace may actually help the rigidity of the rear of the car some, but because the springs do not bear against the tops of those towers, it will not help like the front one. | Unless he meant the upper rear shock mounts, which I have no idea if that would help lengthen their lifespan. Probably cheaper and less hassle to upgrade to the e46 M3 variety of RSM rather than install an upper rear brace. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 02-12-2007, 10:05 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | I think he meant where the trailing arms fit into the subframe, not the RSMs. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 02-19-2007, 12:48 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: UK Posts: 197 | I've installed my x brace now, its really is a great improvement. The car feels much more direct & solid on the road and seems to turn in quicker. Overall very happy Here are the x brace post from my engine swap build log. > Post 1 here > Post 2 here | | | 03-11-2007, 07:23 AM | #23 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Philadelphia Posts: 17 | | | | 03-11-2007, 07:47 AM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | I have right now. offset m3 bushing(OE), Xbrace, no upper front strut, Club Sport Sways, ground Control RSMs, Bilstein HDs, and OE Club Sport/Mtech Springs. The Car handles very well, Out handles alot of dropped modded cars with bigger engines and horsepower. but it can be better, So the rear rubber is coming out for Urethane(TA and SF bushings), I am going to drop the change for a set of Treehouse Racing eyeballs, and prob go to Bilstein Sports, and drop the HDs. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
